Course Objective The aim of this course is to provide the students with information about intercultural communication theories, sensitivity to cultural differences and a perspective of interculturalism they will take into consideration in their everyday lives and how to solve intercultural communication situations.
Course Content Introduction to the course and its basic concepts: culture and communication concepts and relationship, acculturation, enculturation, subculture etc. definitions of concepts. History of Cultural Communication Studies. Ethics in Intercultural Communication.

Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1He / she mastered the basic concepts and theoretical framework of the intercultural communication work field, acquainted with basic sources and case case studies.
2S/helearns that interculturalism should not be considered only within the nation-state paradigm, but explains the transformation in different social formations throughout history.
3S/he has an approach and theoretical knowledge about the analysis of intercultural communication situations in popular culture.
