Course Objective To inform students about socio-economic importance of the congress and fair organizations in the tourism industry, fundamental characteristics of international and national congresses, as well as activities in the institutions-organizations activities and objectives of the organization of congresses, conventions and exhibitions in all stages of the preparation techniques and processes of the organization, congress and fair organizations, and statements of financial planning congress and fair tourism promotion and marketing principles and strategies.
Course Content Types of Meetings, Meetings and Tourism Relations, Reasons of Convention Calendar Development, Effects of Convention Tourism, the Congress (the meeting), Tourism Organizations, Convention Organization Planning, Convention Country and the City Choice, Time and Venue Selection of Congress, Convention Services Administration, Activities before, during and after the Convention, International Congress Market, Turkey’s Congress Calendar, Facilities and Issues, Trade Fairs and Exhibition Organization, Projections about the future of Convention and Exhibition Sectors.
