Course Objective To examine the effects of security-related issues on tourism occurred in the world and Turkey; to understand factors affecting risk and security perceptions of tourists and to learn macro and micro level strategies to ensure tourist security.

1To find out security-related problems occured in the world and Turkey and to learn effects of these problems on tourism
2To know the factors affecting security and risk perceptions of tourists
3To learn risk types that tourists may encounter during their travel and to discuss the ways of risk-taking
4To learn macro and micro level crisis management strategies against security-related problems in tourism
5To obtain information about travel warnings and advisories and to observe the effects of these warnings
