Course Objective The general aim of this course is to recognize the basic concepts of educational science, to examine the social, psychological, philosophical, political, economic and historical foundations of education, to recognize research methods in educational science, to explain the teaching profession and the qualifications of the teacher, to recognize the characteristics and development of teacher education, to analyze the developments in teacher education. and to examine trends in educational science.
Course Content The basic concepts of education, the relationship and functions of education with other sciences (philosophical, social, legal, psychological, economic, political foundations of education), historical development of education science, trends in education in the 21st century, research methods in education, structure and features of the Turkish National Education System. , the role of the teacher in the education system, the characteristics of the teaching profession, practices and developments in the field of teacher training.
