Course Content 1 The reasons for dispute of fuqaha 2 The emergence processes of Islamic law schools 3 Literature on comparative law 4 Salat (the worship of prayer) in comparative law 5 Zakah (charity) in comparative law 6 Savm (fasting) and hajj (pilgrimage) in comparative law 7 Election methods and procedures in comparative law 8 Forms of state and government in comparative law 9 Civil liability in comparative law 10 Criminal liability in comparative law 11 Judging procedures and methods in comparative law 12 Means of evidence in comparative law 13 Limitation in comparative law 14 International agreement in comparative law

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To recognize the formation of Islamic law schools and their institutional structures during the historical period
2To know the literature of Islamic law schools
3To acquire information on the methodologies of the Islamic law schools
4To analyse styles of approach of Islamic law schools to legal issues
5To explain the cultural, geographical, climatic and social causes leading to the differentiation of Islamic law schools
6To explain the differences between Islamic law and the other legal systems like Roman law in terms of their perspectives on legal issues
