Course Objective The aim of the Participation Banking course is to teach students the theoretical and practical emergence of the concept of participation banking (Interest-Free Banking) in the world and in Turkey, to give information about the history of participation banking, to understand the points where participation banks differ from conventional banks by making comparative explanations about the practices of conventional banking and participation banking. To provide an understanding of the place of participation banks in the Turkish banking sector and the Turkish economy and their increasing importance in recent years. In addition, students who successfully take the participation banking course will contribute to the participation banking sector, which is developing every year, as a human resource.
Course Content Content of the participation banking course; Historical development of participation banking (Interest-Free Banking) in the world and in Turkey; The principles that reveal participation banking within the framework of Islamic principles; the differences between conventional banking and participation banking; the share of participation banking in the Turkish economy; is the development potential of participation banking.
