Course Objective The aim of this course is to introduce shape memory materials and alloys and explain the shape memory mechanism. To give information about the production and properties of metallic, ceramic and polymer materials with shape memory effect. To inform students about the usage areas of materials with shape memory feature.
Course Content Introduction to shape memory alloys. What are Shape Memory Alloys? What are the production methods of Shape Memory Alloys? What are the Uses of Shape Memory Alloys? What is the Future of Shape Memory Alloys?

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1With this course, students will be able to learn shape memory alloys and their properties.
2They will learn the necessary factors in gaining shape reminder feature. It will be learned how to add shape memory effect to NiTi alloys. How to gain bidirectional shape memory features will be learned.
