Course Objective The aim of this course is to teach student the fundamentals of use of nanomaterials in drug delivery, biodiagnostic and therapeutic applications and how to design such nanomaterial for these purposes.
Course Content Drug delivery systems (Active and passive targeting), biodiagnostic (in vivo imaging), therapy, nanomaterials and their characteristics, application of nanoparticles for nanomedicine.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1understand how nanotechnology can be tailored and used for biomedical purposes
2understand how nanotechnological approaches can be used in biomedical therapies
3understand biomaterials and interaction of biomaterials with cells, body fluids and tissues
4understand the problems and possibilities for analysis of proteins, nucleic acids and cells by micro fabricated devices and nanotechnological solutions
5understand the need, obstacles and solutions for polymeric, lipidous and solid nanosized drug delivery systems
