COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of this course is to teach the students about orthosis, prosthesis and assistive equipments and their basics, functions, rationale of preference about these devices both in theoretic and practice as well as understanding of orthesis team.
Course Content Basic mechanisms, Dynamic and static AFOs, Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthosis, PAFO, Walking stick, cane, tripod, wheelchair, Knee orthosis, orthopedic shoes, Cervical orthosis, Shoulder sliding, Spinal orthosis, Orthosis of upper extremity tendon injury, Static and dynamic orthosis of upper extremity, Amputation and prosthesis of upper extremity, Amputation and prosthesis of lower extremity, electrical and myoelectrical prosthesis.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
