Course Objective The aim of the Tissue Engineering course to give information about multi-disiplinary approaches which underline basis of the tissue engineering such as cell-based therapeutical tools by using biomimicking material and design, tissue structure artitechture, cellular differentiation and stem cells, current application and ethical aspects of tissue engineering.
Course Content Analogs of extracellular matrix, extracellular matrix, synthetic polymers, natural polymers, and regulation of cell functions, stem cells, cell adhesion, cell-biomaterial interactions, cellular movement and metabolism, tissue development, tissue modeling, cell and tissue in the mass transfer characteristics, tissue regeneration , angiogenesis, drug release, immune protection, inflammation, tissue engineering approaches, induction of tissue (skin, nerves, blood vessels, tendons, ligaments, bone), cell transplantation, biyohibrid organs, blood formation, gene therapy, tissue engineering products; patents, rules

1Can make the definition of tissue engineering products, give examples of them.
2To be able to understand all knowledge about living organisms which is main subject of molecular biology and genetics
3To voice examples of connective tissue, nerve and cardiovascular system with their ethical discussions
