Course Objective To give basic information about the thermodynamic analysis of the events in the cylinder of the internal combustion engines, engine thermodynamic concepts, cycles and their comparisons. To introduce calculation methods of the engine cycles. To make thermodynamic analysis of the combustion engines and fuels.
Course Content Introduction, definition and operation of piston engines, engine design and operating parameters of the engine air mixtures, thermochemistry, combustion in spark ignition engines, combustion in compression ignition engines, pollutants and control of the pollutants
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
