Course Objective To provide basic information about air conditioning. Air conditioning systems and air conditioning system elements introduction. The basic concepts and applications of air conditioning are given to the students. At the end of the course, students are expected to have problem-solving and implementing character.
Course Content Introduction to air conditioning, application areas, basic concepts, temperature and humidity concepts, sensible and latent heat of moist air, Psychrometric diagram and various air changes, adiabatic humidification, mixtures and showing them in Diagram, heating and cooling processes and showing them in Diagram, summer and winter Air Conditioning cycles and showing them in psychrometric diagram.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To be able to determine appropriate indoor air conditions (temperature, humidity and ventilation rate), noise, pressure drops and energy consumption. Determination of heating and cooling loads. To make Air Conditioning calculations.
