Course Objective
In this course, the introduction of the archaeometallurgical field, which is a special field of the archaeometry branch, enables us to evaluate the metal finds arising in archaeological studies by using science and engineering branches; teaching certain methods in this area; to teach the history, development and social effects of metallurgical science; it is aimed to understand the importance of working in an interdisciplinary field.
Course Content
The content of the course is to explain the various metallurgical techniques that give the name to the ages, to understand certain methods within the scope of archaeometry, which enable us to evaluate the artefacts arising from archaeological studies, to explain the analysis and characterization techniques of these metals, the history, development and social effects of metallurgical science.
