COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective Basic concepts, operation principles of circuit elements in direct current and methods of analysis of direct current circuit elements.
Course Content Electric circuit, load, current, voltage, power, energy, active and passive circuit element concepts. Resistance from passive circuit elements, capacitor, coil. Dependent and independent sources. Serial and parallel connection of resistors. Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's laws, voltage divider and current divider concepts. Thevenin and Norton circuit theorems for resistive circuits only, superposition theory, maximum power transfer theory. Analysis of resistive circuits only by node voltages and currents.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Learning operation princibles of the passive components in direct current.
2Learning Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's laws.
3Know the concepts such as current, voltage, power. Know basic circuit elements
4Calculates current and voltage in Series, Parallel, Series-Parallel circuits.
5Use direct current circuit analysis methods and circuit theorems of the only resistive circuits.
