Course Objective To examine the origin of the Turkish sedentary life culture and its spatial reflections on different geographies, to determine the elements that is shaped Turkish urban planning practises and to expose for future according to the historical backround of Turkish planning studies.
Course Content The problematic of nomadic and sedentary life in Turkish culture, Turkish settlements practices pre-Anatolia, Iranian and Central Asia Turkish urban models, the spatial organizations and spatial elements of Turkish towns in Anatolia, Turkish urban planning practises in the historcial process, from Ottoman to the Republican period.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
