Course Objective To use Geographical Information Systems which are current in planning and design studies in architectural education, Basic concepts of Geographical Information Systems, Components of Geographic Information Systems, coordinate systems and projection identification and digitization and creation of attribute data, querying in data sets and to produce spatial maps.
Course Content What is Geographic Information Systems? Application Areas of GIS, GIS Technologies, Data Models, Geographical Data in Computer, Basic Map Information, Data Display, Geographical Analysis, Data Transformation, GIS Applications.
