COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Bachelor's Degree

Course Objective Students are expected to acquire theory, applications and practice of diagnosis, treatment and presentation of emergency cases.
Course Content Life threatening disease diagnosis and treatment, evaluation and first treatment of chest pain and dyspnea patients, presentation of emergency health service.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1 Lists the life threatening diseases and suitable first treatment options. (Theory)
2 Articulates approaches to poisoning patient.
3 Lists the features of stomachache, expresses the processes needed for differential diagnosis.
4 Lists forensic cases, expresses the need of reporting.
5 Defines the reasons of diseases and injuries.
6 Lists further life diseases and lists first treatment. Lists supportive techniques. (Theory)
7 Takes detailed and reliable anamnesis. (Skill)
8 Examines the patient carefully, and plans the diagnosis and treatment. (Skill)
9 Selects suitable tests for each patient and evaluates results. (Skill)
10 Applies basic treatment options (intravenous applications, iv/im injections, catheter, suture, etc) (Skill)
11 Develops registry, evaluation, and using patient management program skills. (Skill)
12 Acquires the organization and structure of emergency health services. (Theory)
13 Decides for emergency medical life support. (Skill)
14 Examines the patient with chest pain, plans diagnosis and treatment. (Skill)
15 Examines the trauma patients, evaluates radiographs. (Skill)
16 Examines dyspnea patient, plans diagnosis and treatment. (Skill)
17 Differentiates allergy and anaphylactic shock, and decides treatment. (Skill)
18 Applies cardiopulmonary resuscitation. (Skill)
19 Applies airway and balloon mask. (Skill)
20 Applies defibrillation and cardioversion. (Attitude)
21 Applies trauma table (Skill)
22 Lists indications of intubations, fracture reduction, trasynthesis-parasynthesis, lumbar function, drainage, and helps the applications.
23 Develops skills for ethical problems.
24 Develops respect for human and patient rights, respects patient privacy.
25 Develops reliability, honesty and affection for patient-doctor relationship.
26 Develops honest and reliable attitude skills with patients throughout professional life.
27 Communicates well with the patient, family, and colleagues.
28 Develops ways to have more information in order to follow scientific and technological developments, professional improvements and respond to public needs.
29 Takes responsibility in examination, diagnosis, and treatment processes.
30 Sticks to the legal rules of profession.
31 Explains, applies and follows ethics of medical profession.

33 Apprehends the importance of evaluation, early treatment and suitable treatment for emergency cases.
