Course Objective Students are expected to define the relation between internal diseases, take anamnesis from the patient, examine, request tests, plan the treatment and direct the patient for further treatment.
Course Content Arthritis, anemia, chest pain, headache, hypertension, oncology, hypocalcaemia, bleeding diathesis, oncology emergency patients.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1 Defines symptoms and findings of rheumatism diseases. (Theory)
2 Classifies the most important symptoms of rheumatism related diseases (arthralgia and arthritis). Lists reasons of arthritis. Defines clinical findings of arthritis.
3 Lists treatment options of rheumatism related diseases. Defines the effect mechanisms, use and adverse effects of agents prescribed for medical treatment.
4 Defines, differentially diagnoses and treats cancer patients with cardiovascular emergency (vena cava superior syndrome, pericardial effusion, tamponad), neurological emergency (spinal cord compression, KIBAS), and metabolic emergency (unsuitable ADH syndrome, hypocalcaemia, hypoglycemia, tumor lyses syndrome).
5 Defines early diagnosis and scanning techniques of breast, cervics, colon and rectum, prostate, over and lung cancer. Defines the risk groups and applies early diagnosis scanning.
6 Defines adverse effects and treatment of chemotheraPC. (Theory)
7 Defines the concept, reasons, morphological and kinetic classification, congenital and akkiz treatment options of anemia.
8 Defines primary and secondary homeostasis and related diseases and transfusion practice approach. (Theory)
9 Defines type I and II Diabetes, etiology and symptomathology. Explains laboratory findings and treatment. Lists chronic vascular complications of diabetes. Explains diagnosis and differential diagnosis of diabetic comas and other comas. Explains varieties, related diseases and treatment options of obesity. (Theory)
10 Lists anamnesis, laboratory tests, and treatment options of thyroid and parathyroid diseases. (Theory)
11 Defines hyper functions of pituitary gland; explains adenomas, pathology and treatment. (Theory)
12 Defines reasons, differential diagnosis, clinics, complications, treatment and prognosis and protection of acute and chronic renal deficiency. Explains reasons, clinics, complications, treatment and prognosis of liquid-electrolyte and acid-base disorder. (Theory)
13 Evaluates the patient with arthritis. Takes anamnesis, examines systemic and locomotors system examination. Acknowledges the patient about the adverse effects of the rheumatism medicine. (Skill)
14 Takes history of cancer patients, evaluates the symptoms and findings. (Skill)
15 Employs intravenous application techniques, takes venous capillary blood sample, applies catheter, and applies parasynthesis and torasynthesis techniques. (Skill)
16 Differentiates normal and abnormal cells in bone marrow. (Skill)
17 Evaluates the patient with chest pain, explains reasons and mechanisms, and applies differential diagnosis. (Skill)
18 Makes the differential diagnosis of the patient with dyspnea. Explains reasons and mechanisms. (Skill)
19 Directs the patient to relevant units and centers for further tests. (Skill)
20 Sticks to the ethics when dealing with patients with internal diseases. (Attitude)
