Course Objective Students are expected to explain symptoms, mechanisms, diagnosis and treatment principles and complications of basic obstetrical and gynecological diseases, systemic pregnancy diseases, genital benign and malign diseases and infertility and apply subject related professional skills.
Course Content Basic obstetrical and gynecological diseases, gynecological oncology, gynecological endocrinology and infertility, normal pregnancy and prenatal follow-up, pregnancy complications and systemic diseases, genital benign and malign diseases and scanning methods, evaluation of infertility cases.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1 Defines primary and secondary amenorrhea. Lists primary and secondary amenorrhea differential diagnosis and explains treatment. (Theory)
2 Defines puberty development. Explains abnormalities and treatment of puberty development. Explains the structure and functions of reproduction hormones. Defines menstrual cycle. Defines menopause and explains diagnosis and treatment methods. (Theory)
3 Defines polycystic over syndrome and explains diagnosis and treatment methods. (Theory)
4Differentiates primary and secondary amenorrhea. Examines and takes history and anamnesis of such and menopausal patients. Directs the patient for necessary medical analysis. Evaluates the clinical and laboratory findings. Recognizes the patient with puberty developmental abnormality; compares with normal cases and directs the patient accordingly. (Skill)
5 Examines and takes history and anamnesis of patients with polycystic over syndrome. Directs the patient for necessary medical analysis. Evaluates the clinical and laboratory findings. (Skill)
6Taking the psychological dimensions into account, approaches gently to the patients with puberty development abnormality, primary and secondary amenorrhea and/or menopause. (Theory)
7 Approaches accordingly to the patients with polycystic over syndrome. (Skill)
8 Defines individuals with obstetrical abnormalities, chromosome diseases and single gene diseases. (Theory)
9 Explains diagnosis, differential diagnosis, etiology, genetic model, recurrence risk and prognosis; explains protective methods of these diseases. (Theory)
10 Explains field use of genetic tests (diagnosis, projection and conductor tests) (Theory)
11 Takes genetic disease family history, makes family tree and evaluates. (Theory)
12 Evaluates examination and dimorphic findings and other accompanying findings and symptoms in accordance with the theory that genetic diseases can crush different organ systems. (Theory)
13 Employs secondary diagnostic methods for differential diagnosis. Directs patients in need of advance tests to suitable units and centers. (Theory)
14 Adheres to ethics during the examination of the patient in diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases. (Attitude)
