COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Level	Bachelor's Degree
Course Type	Compulsory
Course Objective	Student may; 1.Explain operations of computer hardwares. 2.Explain computer software types, specifications, usage, strong and weak aspects. 3.Montage computer units in according to user manual. 4.Install computer peripherals in according to user manual. 5.Install the appropriate software for use to the computer systems. 6.Test Computer Systems.
Course Content	Computer Hardwares: Case, mainboard, microprocessor, RAM, harddisk, graphic card, sound card, Fax-modem card, CD-ROM, diskette types, technical specifications, standarts and usage fields. Computer softwares; types, specifications, standarts, usage fields, strong and weak sides. Case preparation for fitting, locate the mainboard to the case, attaching drives to the case, install expansion cards to the slots, pluging cables to the appropriate connectors, closing case. Conectg monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer and speaker. Setting BIOS values, installing operating system, drivers and application programs. Testing operating system, driver’s specifications and softwares and testing peripherals with basic operation.
