Course Objective Student may; 1. Explain basic computer and peripherals and operating systems. 2. Do word processing applications. 3. Create the spreadsheet. 4. Prepare Presentations. 5. Create the database. 6. Make basic internet applications.
Course Content Monitor, keyboard, mouse, RAM, ROM, hard disk, printer, scanner, serial and paralel ports, CD ROM, mainboard, microprocessor, sound card, floppy drive, file operations, desktop settings, disk operations, adjustment of peripherals, updating softwares. Creating Documents, writing, editing, formatting, adding chart and picture to the documents, printing Analysing problems and finding solutions, creating worksheets, four basic operations, average, max, min functions, formatting tables, writing, creating charts end printing. Creating presentation, formatting, adding charts and pictures, editing, adding animations, creating scenarios. Creating databases and tables, accessing a file, printing table, simple query, preparing menus. Creating an e-mail account, sending and receiving a mail with an e-mail program, attaching a file, surfing with Intrnet browser, understand meaning of WEB addresses, creating a shortcut of an address, setting a security, printing, using search engines.
