Course Objective In general, introduce the finite element method to students and provide skills and abilities of modeling and simulations of various engineering problems by using the ANSYS package program which written based on finite elements.
Course Content Definition of engineering problems, numerical methods of analysis, Finite Element Method and ANSYS package program was written on the basis of this method of presentation. Create a solid model in ANSYS, assigning elastic material properties to the model generated, determining finite element depending on model and analysis, creating a finite element model by mesh, determining boundary conditions, applying load to model, solving and obtaining results. Modeling, simulating and analyzing of lattice systems, beams, plates, shell elements, axisymmetric structures (such as tubing), solid bodies and structures of composite materials in ANSYS.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students will have knowledge about the finite element method and will have also the ability and knowledge of modeling, analyzing and simulation with using package programs.
