Course Objective This course is designed for engineering students. The objective is to enable students understand the problems related to all stages of factory lifecycle from establisment to operation. Optimization models are included in the course schedule. This improves the engineering students’ ability to work with Industrial engineers in the work environment.
Course Content General concepts of production, system concept, basics of decision making, overview of factory establishment (objectives, decisions related to products, resources and market analysis, production types, feasibiity report, productivity report, location analysis, layout design), general analysis of production operations including the process improvement, overview of project management and line balancing problem.
