Course Objective Students are expected to have knowledge about basic heavy -though machine production materials.
Course Content Introduction to materials science and engineering. Classification of engineering materials. Materials testing for determining of mechanical properties. The iron- iron carbide phase diagrams. Steel materials. Properties and using areas of aluminium. Properties and using areas of copper. Ceramics and their using areas in textile industry. Composites and their using areas in textile industry.
