Course Objective Teaching use of geological engineering knowledge and solution methods on enginnering projects
Course Content History of engineering geology, investigation methods, engineering properties of rocks, discontinuities, engineering classification of rocks, engineering geology maps, slope instability and prevention methods, dam geology, tunnel geology, engineering geology applications on settlement place selection, use of rocks as natural building Stones.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Teaching geological knowledge on engineering projects
2Estimation of geotechnical problems by using geological structure, geotechnical features of soil and rock.
3Gaining inter-disciplinary projects with other engineering subjects (e.g. Civil, geophysics, environment, geodezy)
4Gaining ability to use soil and rock mechanics knowledge on engineering projects
5Theaching application of theortical knowledge on engineering problems by visiting engineering projects in the field
