Course Objective To introduce the students to modern theories of; ore genesis, ore mineralogy, the types of ores and the relationships of ores to specific rock types and geologic processes
Course Content Principal types of ore deposits and ore forming processes. Ore mineralogy, stable isotopes, fluid inclusions and phase equilibria. Ore deposits associated with magmatic processes. Hydrothermal ore forming systems and wall rock alteration. Ore deposits in sedimentary environments. Ores of metamorphic affiliation
