COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The goal of this course is to provide the student with a balanced introduction to economics which will be used as a foundation for further work. The course is divided in two parts: Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. In the first part, students will increase their knowledge in Microeconomics and will be able to make formal analysis of consumer and company behaviors. In the second part, student will better understand Macroeconomic behaviors and become familiar with various common macroeconomic variables such as GNP, inflation rate, unemployment rate.
Course Content Microeconomics: Markets, the concepts of Demand and Supply, Elasticity, Market Equilibrium, Cost Analysis, Break Even Analysis Macroeconomics: Gross National Products, National Income, Economic Growth, Inflation, Unemployment, Money and Money Supply.
