COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Bachelor's Degree

Course Objective The main objectives of this course are twofold: to provide the student with a clear and logical presentation of the basic concepts and principles of electricity and magnetism, and to strengthen an understanding of the concepts and principles through a broad range of interesting applications to the real world. In order to meet these objectives, emphasis is placed on sound physical arguments. At the same time, it has been attempted to motivate the student through practical examples that demonstrate the role of electricity and magnetism in other disciplines.
Course Content Electric Fields, Gauss’ Law, Electric Potential, Capacitance and Dielectrics, Current and Resistance, Direct Current Circuits, Magnetic Fields, Sources of the Magnetic Field, Faraday’s Law.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To distinguish between between electric charge and electric field and to do the applications.
2To learn the capacitance and dielectric.
3To learn the electric current and apply to the electric circuits.
4To distinguish the magnetic properties of matter.
5To combine the terms of electricity and magnetism and investigate the electromagnetic waves.
