Course Objective	To provide theoretical knowledge and application principles for solving specific problems encountered in practice regarding foundation design.
Course Content	Site Investigations / Determination of soil parameters used in design / Shallow and deep foundations on/in layered soil / Shallow and deep foundations on/in rock / Laterally loaded pile foundations / Pile load tests / Eccentrically loaded foundations / Mat foundations / Mechanically stabilized earth retaining Wall / Jet grout / Stone columns / Rammed aggregate pier (Geopier)

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Evaluation and planning of site investigation.
