COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To provide design capabilities of undergraduate students, to give information about special topics in highway design application.
Course Content Route choice researchs in topographic maps. Application of horizontal curves in selected routes. Calculation about route profile and application of vertical curves. Application of superelevation and transition curves in horizontal curves and its calculations. Determination of cross-sections on route and calculation of the cross-sections areas. Calculations of bulks and determination of elevations for bruckner diagram. Drawing and balancing of bruckner diagram. Computation about earthworks.
