COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective	To give the students detailed information on gravity dams. To teach in which conditions, the gravity dams are preferred and to teach the design principles of gravity dams.
Course Content	Basic information on dams, Introduction to gravity dams, Pats of dams, Application sites of gravity dams and reason for preference, impacts on the environment, types, calculation principles, curved gravity dams.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery	Face to Face

2	Can design gravity dams and can make required calculations.
