Course Objective In able to transfer the primary knowledge which is directly related with earthquake resistant design of buildings, in able to contribute the understanding of earthquake damages especially in R/C buildings.
Course Content Damage formations in reinforced concrete members depending on bending and shear effects. Typical damages occurred in RC structural systems and members in recent earthquakes.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery Face to Face

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Ductile failures depending on the flexural response are learned.
2Brittle failures controlled by shear capacity are learned.
3Relationships between the reasons and the results of earthquake damages can be constructed, the applications which increase the damage potential in buildings are learned.
