Course Objective Objective of this course is to improve students’ decision-making competencies through critical thinking, structured reasoning and creative problem solving in a world where information and much of everything spread and consumed quickly and consumed, literally society today, we have become a consumer society.
Course Content Introduction to critical thinking and decision making. Basic concepts of critical thinking. Critical thinking skills. Problem definition and analysis. Asking right questions. Fallacies. Analyzing arguments. The burden of proof. Language and its pitfalls. Scientific and causal reasoning. Thinking critically about statistics. Analytical decision making techniques. Ethical decision making.
