Course Objective The lecture of Contemporary Approaches in Sociology of Work is continuation of Sociology of Work. The basic aim of this lecture especially scrutinize the effects of social and economic developments of globalization process to scientific field of Sociology of Work.
Course Content In the context of the lecture, contemporary research issues of The Sociology of Work are going to be analyzed. The issues of postfordist period and postmodern culture constitutes the basic references of the lecture. In this context, the characteristic of consumtion field are going to be examined, besides the production field having been spesifically determined by the flexible working relations. Also, the ideas of the foremost theroticians being in the intellectual field of the Sociology of Work are going to be evaluated.
