COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of this course is to introduce the digital signal processing techniques to the students and teach them how to use these techniques in implementing filter design applications.
Course Content Design of FIR and IIR filters. Z- and inverse z-transforms. Analytical design of digital filters and simulations on MatLab. Generating and analyzing signals with MatLab. Sampling theorem. Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and Fast Fourier Fransform. Voice and image processing applications. Frequency domain analysis of linear, time invariant systems on MatLab.
