Course Objective	The aim of this course is to provide learning and analyzing the basic concepts, principles and methods related with production management and extensions. It covers examination of the nature and content of methods of quantitative analysis employed in production management and decision making.
Course Content	Production Systems; Continuous, Job Shop and Project Types of Production Systems, Just-In Time Production, Flexible Manufacturing Systems, Qualifications, Advantages and Disadvantages. Forecasting. Inventory Control. Production Planning and Control. Material Requirements Planning. Project Planning and Control. Quality Control and Total Quality Management. Techniques of Statistical Quality Control.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Lists the types of production systems and explain their characteristics.
2	Learns forcasting methods and can make basic demand forecasts.
3	Lists inventory control methods, explain their characteristics and calculate economic order quantities.
4	Learns to prepare production plan and programs
5	Prepares the list of metarial requirements and the plan of material requirements.
6	Learns project planning and control techniques.
7	Learns basic quality concepts, explain quality control methods and use basic statistical quality control methods.
