Course Objective The course aims to introduce students to the fundamental concepts in economics and to provide a way of understanding how the economic units such as firms and households decide to allocate their limited resources among alternatives uses to maximize their profits and utilities.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1By using basic economic concepts such as production, cost, revenue, marginal utility, budged constraint it explains and interprets utility and profit maximization
2Identify causes for changes in supply and demand for goods and predict the consequences of the changes on market outcomes.
3Demonstrate an understanding of economic theories of households and firms behavior, which it is a necessary for understanding of a society.
4Identify different markets such as perfect competitive , oligopoly, monopoly markets and the behavior of firms in those markets.
5Recognize and analyze the society choices.
