Course Objective The main aim of thhis course is to provide students with basic principles about urban economies.
Course Content Axioms of Urban Economics, Why Do Cities Exist?, Why Do Firms Cluster? City Size, Urban Growth, Urban Land Rent, Land-Use Patterns, Neighborhood Choice, Zoning and Growth Controls, Externalities from Autos, Mass Transit, Crime, Why Is Housing Different?, Housing Policy, Local Government Spending and Revenues are the questions and topics that will be tried to be answered, and explained.
