COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective Contemporary corporations operate within an ever changing framework of law and are becoming more subject to the direct control of the Board of Directors. The Board must ensure the law is adhered to while simultaneously ensuring that strategies for long term success are set and implemented. Taking the global circumstances and local conditions into account, ensuring the corporation’s adherence to law and strategic orientation at the same would be difficult. Thus organizations are required to achieve a balance and alignment among external and internal controls, risk management and competitive behavior.
Course Content This course outlines the framework of the governance principles for an effective and long-term successful corporation. We will be exploring the corporation beyond its management borders, understand what is necessary to conduct a better performance for the organization, and how directors and managers maintain the maximization of the corporation’s value.
