Course Objective The goal of this course is to examine contemporary concepts, approaches, theories and applications in the public administration and public sector starting from its very traditional concepts and approaches..
Course Content The content of this lecture is as follows: Classical public administration approach, system theory in public administration, chaos and complexity sciences in public administration, new public administration movement, new public management, governance, inter-sectoral collaboration and partnerships, the New Right and minimal state theory, public choice theory, post-modernism and post-bureaucracy in public administration, strategic planning and performance management in public sector, discipline of public administration.
