Course Objective Providing a detailed understanding about the economy-politic perspectives of work. Exploring how the concept of work is effected from economic, cultural and social evolutions.
Course Content The changing structure of the concept of work in socio-economic formations of different historical periods is going to be evaluated. In this context craftsmanship, manufacturing, the shift to the factory production, the rise of the modern industrial worker and finally the new working relations formed by globalization are going to be handled.
