Course Objective This course aims to provide knowledge and skills related to Technology Assisted Instruction in Special Education.
Course Content Basic concepts of special education and technology; the importance of using technology in education and special education; technology-supported practices for academic and non-academic skills in students with different special education needs; use of different technological tools (e.g smart board, desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone) in special education; application of technological tools such as smart board, desktop, laptop, tablet, smart phone to technology supported teaching; alternative and supporting technology applications requiring low and high technology.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

1Defines the basic concepts related to technology and use of technology in education.
2Classify assistive technologies and explains the use of these technologies in special education.
3Identify assistive technologies suitable for the characteristics of individuals with special needs.
4Explain appropriate assistive technologies for individuals with disability and ability groups.
5Plans the teaching process of assistive technology suitable for individuals with disability and ability groups.
