Course Objective To provide students with information about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), to prepare and apply behavior modification plans.
Course Content Basics of applied behavior analysis (ABA), history, definition, principles and importance; ABA and ethics; identification of target behavior, identification, measurement and recording; analysis and evaluation of collected data on target behavior; use of data to decide on teaching; determining behavioral functions; behavior improvement principles and process processes; reinforcement types and their use; symbol reinforcement; principles and processes in gaining new behaviors; behavior reduction principles and process processes; differential reinforcement: extinction, the price of the response; generalization; ABA and single-subject research methods.
