COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To provide understanding the basic concepts of mathematics of teacher candidates, logic, proof, set, relation, function, limit, permutation and operation and the development of the operational and conceptual learning skills for these concepts
Course Content Symbolic logic ve proving methods, sets, algebra of sets, families of sets and partitions of families of sets, set products, relations, inverse of relaions, composition of relations, equivalence relations and equivalence class, order relations, partially ordered set, totally ordered set, functions, bijective functions and combination of functions, permutations, operations. Matrices and algebraic operations on matrices.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Know symbolic logic and proving methods and make different proof applications.
2Understand set, algebra of sets, families of sets and partitions of families of sets, set products, make different applications and prove their theorems.
3Understand relations, inverse and composition of relations and make different applications.
4Define equivalence and ordering relations and explain some basic concepts such as partially ordered set, totally ordered set and sample them.
5Know the concept of function which is a special relation, as well as some special concepts such as one to one, surjective and bijective functions and prove their theorems.
6Understand combinaton of functions and inverse of fuctions, make different applications.
7Explain the concept of permutation, make different applications and prove their theorems.
8Explain the concept of operaiton, make different applications and prove their theorems.
9Perform the arithmetic operations of matrix addition, and multiplication.
