Course Objective The aim of this lesson is to support to be constructed conceptual foundations of the topics in learning areas of geometry and statistics and probabilitiy, to be related the concepts with each other, to be formed different representations and to be understood conversions among these representations.
Course Content Basic geometric concepts and drawings, triangles and rectangles, triangles, length and time measurement, area measurement, geometric objects, angles, rectangles and circles, fluid measurement, transformation geometry, polygons, similarity, data collection and evaluation, data analysis, possibility of simple events.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students will explain the properties of basic geometric concepts.
2Students will solve problems related to angles, polygons, congruence, similarity, circle, and solids.
3Students will construct the image of a shape resulting from a geometric transformation.
4Students will draw isometric view of a 3-D object given as an orthographic drawing.
5Students will appreciate the importance of using dynamic geometry software and manupilatives in exploring geometric concepts and relationships.
6Students will demonstrate positive attitude towards geometry.
7Students will explain fundamental statistical concepts.
8Students will explain fundamental concepts about probability.
9Students will evaluate real-world situations by relating statistics with probability.
10Students will appreciate the relationship between mathematics and real life.
