Course Objective The aim of the Scientific Research and Evolution course is to explore the elements of scientific research in the theory of evolution, to understand the Definition of Evolution, the development of the concept of evolution, the evidence supporting evolution, and to enrich these subjects with examples from daily life.
Course Content Elements of evolution and scientific research. Definition of Evolution: Development of the concept of evolution. Evidence supporting evolution. Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection and Evolution. Population Genetics, Adaptation, Variation, Sources of Variation: Mutation, Migration, Isolation, Genetic Drift, Natural Selection. Microevolution, Speciation, Isolation mechanisms, Macroevolution.
