COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of this course; to determine the importance of community service practices and current problems of the society and to prepare projects to produce solutions; participating in scientific activities such as panels, conferences, congresses, symposiums as audience, speaker or organizer; to take part in various projects voluntarily within the framework of social responsibility and to gain basic knowledge and skills for the implementation of community service activities in schools.
Course Content Emphasizing the importance of social sensitivity in our project work, we will embark on a planned and regular study with the project team and the instructor in charge of the course. This collaborative effort is aimed at developing cooperation, solidarity, effective communication, and self-evaluation skills. As we progress, we will create an environment that fosters scientific, critical, and creative thinking, sparking interest and curiosity in reading, learning, research, examination, and development. To this end: The project team and the faculty members will hold regular meetings and a spirit of cooperation and solidarity will be encouraged. To improve communication skills among project team members, open and practical communication channels will be created, and regular feedback will be provided. Each project member will regularly evaluate their performance and conduct a self-evaluation by identifying areas of development. During the project, activities and research opportunities that support scientific, critical, and creative thinking skills will create an intriguing environment for the participants. The instructor guiding the students will support the participants' individual development by directing their studies according to their interests. This approach will enable the project process to strengthen the skills and abilities of its participants and develop scientific, critical, and creative thinking skills along with social sensitivity.
