Course Objective o gain knowledge about the nature of science, to understand the nature of scientific knowledge, and to ensure that science and technology teacher candidates connect the curriculum with those they learn.
Course Content Philosophy of science (meaning and interest, paradigms, philosophical movements and the influence of the development of science); the nature of knowledge (ontology, epistemology, nature of scientific concepts, scientific knowledge and characteristics); the concepts of nature of science and teaching approaches (science, scientific knowledge and characteristics, the nature of scientific literacy and science, the place of nature of science in science curricula, teaching nature of science); in-class activities in the teaching of the nature of science; nature of science and science, technology, society, environment relation.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Explain the nature of knowledge and science.
2Epistemology, ontology, science sociology and anthropology open the concept of science ethics.
3Question the epistemological and scientific beliefs of his own, the reasons of his beliefs.

5Develop proposals about teaching activities necessary to use scientific thinking and scientific inquiry features in teaching life and to bring them to their students.
