Course Objective	The course aims to involve students in active projects to be aware of Turkey’s biological diversity, conversation and sustainability as well as developing their individual responsibility, positive attitude and behavior toward environment.
Course Content	The richness of Turkey's flora, endemic plants, rich genus in terms of endemic plants, species, genetic diversity, situation in our country in terms of plant genetic resources, factors that reduce the plant genetic diversity in Turkey, conversation of plant genetic diversity in Turkey , geographical regions in terms of the conversation of genetic diversity, genetics resources in livestock, status of animal fauna in terms of species diversity.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Explain biodiversity.
2	Explain the reasons for biodiversity.
3	Explain the reasons why the Anatolian flora and fauna are rich.
4	Understand the importance of Turkey in terms of biodiversity.
5	Understand the importance of Turkey's national parks.
6	Understand the importance of national parks in terms of economy and tourism for Turkey.
7	Recognize the importance of conservation of natural areas and species in terms of biodiversity.
8	Understand the importance of plant gene resources that we have.
9	Explains the importance of organic farming.
10	Understands the importance of endemic species in Turkey.
11	Learn the importance of forest tree species.
12	Explain special protection zones in Turkey.
