COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of this course is to give students the fundamental concepts and principles of mathematics. Moreover, students should be able to apply basic concepts to real world situations.
Course Content Derivatives, applications of derivatives, graphing functions, indefinite integrals, definite integrals, calculation of areas, calculations of volumes, calculation of center of mass, simple differential equations and analytic geometry.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Defines mathematics and understands the importance of math in science.
2Defines the concept of derivative and finds examples in real world related to this concept.
3Deals with the graphs of fundamental functions.
4Defines the indefinite integral and knows the integral of fundamental functions.
5Defines the definite integral and uses this to calculate areas, volumes and center of mass.
6Solves simple differential equations and applies this to simple physical systems.
7Knows the basics of analytic geometry.
